The HEIDENHAIN ERA 8400 series is designed for outer (OD) mounting, full-circle and segment versions, offering a high-accuracy incremental angle encoder for various OD angle measurements between 458.60mm 3000mm with the following features
- Steel scale tape for external mounting
- 40µm grading period
- Signal periods from 36000 to 230 000
- Accuracy of graduation: ±4.7” ±3.9” ±1.9”
- Accuracy of scale tape: ±3μm per meter of tape length
- Full-circle and segment versions, including for very large diameters
- Optimized scanning performance for very high reliability
- Integrated three-color LED signal quality indicator
- Consisting of a scanning head and scale tape
